The Project is part of the wider Project in the priority area “Skills development & Employment” of the cooperation between the governments of South Africa and the Federal Republic of Germany. The project concerns the elaboration of a Feasibility Study (FS) assessing and preparing measures for expanding the capacities for skills development in renewable energies (RE) in South Africa. The purpose of the project is to support South Africa’s Just Energy Transition (JET) process through the promotion of artisanal skills in RE and at the same time seizing employment and income opportunities for a social and inclusive development.
