The aim of component 4 – “Start-up and Entrepreneurship Promotion” of the TRIGGER II program is to establish and expand an active business start-up culture in Tajikistan. As such, bootcamps and incubation programs are the central services for budding entrepreneurs and are intended to provide business start-ups with the tools they need for successful and stable self-employment.

The bootcamp trainings have been conducted between June – July 2021 in Dushanbe and Khujand areas of Tajikistan, involving 100 start-up entrepreneurs, 10 local partner-organizations as well as the project´s national experts and international Team Leader – Mr. Jürgen Burks. The bootcamps have been carried out by the selected local partner-organizations, who already received appropriate trainings from the team in the course of the previously conducted training of trainers (TOT).

The main objective of the bootcamps is to develop new entrepreneurship ideas of the participants, lead them towards next steps for their business and help them to turn their ideas and passions into functioning businesses. They shall get familiar with important topics around the fields of entrepreneurship and business. Such bootcamps also give the start-ups opportunity to expand their business network and develop skills such as communication, presentation and negotiation.

Further on, selected participants of the bootcamps will go through a 3-month incubation program, where they will be assisted to develop and realize promising business ideas. During the entire incubation program, the participants will be supported with their startup consulting, technical infrastructure and training. They will receive the necessary support to further develop their business plan and to become fit for market entry.
