New PIU Team Officially Launches Operational Phase with PEM Consult
The Centre of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training at the Adétikopé Industrial Park (CEFTP-PIA) has entered a new and decisive stage in its development. Following the appointment of a new Project Implementation Unit (PIU) by Decree of 30 January 2026, the operational phase of the project has now officially begun.
A Comprehensive Onboarding Session
The session brought together representatives of the PIU of the Centre of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training of the Adétikopé Industrial Park and the team from PEM Consult, represented by Ms Gaëlle Depenbrock, Project Director, and the Team Leader.
After introductory remarks, discussions focused on the project’s core components and operational framework, including:
- Project objectives, structure and key components
- Roles and responsibilities of stakeholders (Consultant, PIU and KfW)
- Presentation of PEM Consult and its sub-consultants
- Introduction of the core project team
- Overall budget and financing arrangements
- Disbursement mechanisms
- Procurement planning
- Provisional implementation timeline
- Architectural design of the future centre
- Immediate next operational steps
On Friday, 20 February 2026, PEM Consult welcomed the newly appointed PIU members for an onboarding session held at the Ministry of National Education. The meeting marked the first formal working session between the new PIU and the project’s implementation consultant.
Strengthening Coordination and Clarity
The onboarding session provided a valuable platform to align all stakeholders around a shared understanding of the project’s scope and objectives. Open and constructive exchanges helped clarify technical and financial aspects, reinforcing coordination mechanisms and facilitating more efficient decision-making processes moving forward.
This milestone ensures that the newly appointed PIU team is fully equipped to assume its responsibilities with clarity and confidence. With a solid understanding of the project framework and implementation roadmap, the team is now positioned to drive the initiative forward effectively.
Entering a Strategic Phase
With this renewed momentum, the CEFTP-PIA is entering a strategic phase of implementation — with a clear objective: to equip the Adétikopé Industrial Park with a modern, high-performance centre of excellence that is fully aligned with the needs of the labour market.
