The project “Promotion of sustainable employment for Jordanians and Syrian refugees at trade-oriented companies and business resilience measures” is part of GIZ’s Trade for Employment (T4E) project, with the overall project aim to improve the conditions for Jordanian companies to enhance their trade performance in terms of employment have improved.
The project addresses companies with export experience whose markets collapsed due to the region’s current geopolitical situation as well as exporting companies aiming to access new markets with improved or newly developed products. Additionally, vulnerable Jordanians, and Syrian job seekers, are supported through the project to find decent employment particularly in trade-oriented companies.
PEM Consult and Dajani Consulting are supporting T4E by providing the following service:
- Conducting a detailed, post-Covid-19 business resilience diagnostic study and subsequent development and piloting of business resilience strategies with a specific focus on Human Resources in 6 trade-oriented companies in Amman and Irbid
- Analysis of employment trends and potentials for Jordanians and Syrian refugees through the implementation of a Labour Market Assessment in Amman, Irbid, Mafraq and Zarqaa governorates
- Training of 900 jobseekers in Core Employability Skills
- Job matching, placement and post-placement support for jobseekers in trade-oriented companies
