On behalf of GIZ/BMZ, PEM CONSULT implemented the project "Innovative Capacity Building Approach: Developing sustainable business models for the UNIDO National Cleaner Production Centres" in 14 selected National Cleaner Production Centres (NCPC). The project aimed at enhancing the business development and management capacities of NCPCs as a critical basis for sustainable operation. A further aspect was strengthening the worldwide network of NCPCs.

Phase 1 of the project started with the NCPCs of Colombia, Vietnam, Morocco, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Serbia, and Mexico.

In phase 2 the NCPCs of Peru, Uganda, Rwanda, Egypt, Tunisia and Ukraine have joined the training and coaching programme. 

The expert team of PEM Consult consisted of seven highly experienced senior experts who developed and conducted a set of webinars (online seminars) on various business topics and tutored the participants in the application of hands-on planning and implementation tools.
