The overall objective of the Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) was to promota Jamaican's socio-economic development by strengthening the country's private sector.

This EU framework project carried out a mid-term evaluation:

• To review the progress of the programme and assess the extent to which the programme has achieved its objectives;
• To measure indicators set down in the logical framework of the Private Sector Development Programme;
• To review other donor programmes with objectives similar to the PSDP programme and identify areas of duplication and synergies.
