The project’s objective was to contribute towards increasing export sales of the Egyptian Textile industry by the establishment of a creative textile design capability in the industry as well as improving the ability of participating companies to develop export markets.

The project assisted a group of Egyptian "collection owners" to produce a sustainable group-marketing plan, developing a brand for the group with the potential for developing it into an internationally recognized image. Image building was supported through participation at international exhibitions within an EU member state and the organization of two buying missions. To support the design capability of participating companies, the project collaborated with local and European design institutes. To further support the exporting companies, improving elements of the supply chain management was an important component of the project as well.
