The project “Supporting Jordan’s Ministry of Education approaches and capabilities to manage and implement extracurricular activities at national level” is part of GIZ’s Improved Learning Environment at Public Schools in Host Communities in Jordan (ILEPS) project, with the overall project aim to improve the educational infrastructure as well as the management of overcrowded public schools in host communities Jordan.

The project works with the Jordanian Ministry of Education on the institutionalization and operationalization of extracurricular activities (ECA) on the national level. It further aims to capacitate MoE staff on ECA skills and proficiency and the institutionalization within the staff career pathways development and New Teaching Standards.

PEM Consult is supporting ILEPS by providing the following service:

  • Provide technical advice to MoE on the implementation of ECA framework, including operationalization and development of a sustainable strategy
  • Develop a concept for capacity-building of the MoE staff in the area of ECA
  • Develop an assessment grid to measure improvement of capacities of selected stakeholders from MOE staff

Provide technical advice to MoE and project staff to sustainably set up knowledge management and dissemination of lessons learnt of project activities and outputs and support scaling up.
